Gigi Fergus is a successful Health Care Executive and Consultant with over 25 years of experience in for-profit and non-profit hospitals and medical centers throughout the U.S. Using a systems design approach, Ms. Fergus has brought about transformation in HCAHPS scores consistently resulting in improvements in facilities she has assisted. She is adept at identifying, developing, and mentoring new leaders through the transformational process to create organizational alignment. Her experience with the accreditation process includes DNV, TJC, CMS, and AOA/HFAP surveys, and she has been acknowledged by surveyors for the action plans she has created ranging from state response to ITL Abatement and response to PDA. Ms. Fergus combines a comprehensive executive management and nursing practice background with numerous achievements in transforming patient safety with a focus on patient experience. She has successfully created organizational cultures that promote patient safety, high reliability, and adherence to regulatory standards in a sustainable and maintainable way.
She formed Memorable Care, a boutique management consultancy firm specializing in transformational leadership in healthcare facilities with core expertise in cultural, clinical, and financial breakthroughs in distressed and struggling facilities.

Dr. Renner has been a practicing nurse for more than 30 years and for the last decade has used her bedside experience and academic expertise in consulting services. Dr. Renner’s passion is patient safety and is an attendee of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement’s Patient Safety Officer Development Program. As a passionate patient safety advocate Dr. Renner is an advocate of meeting or exceeding accreditation standards. Ms. Fergus and Dr. Renner have successfully led organizations out of CMS imposed Immediate Jeopardy (IJ) and back into full accreditation, as well as led organizations out of Joint Commission imposed Preliminary Denial of Accreditation (PDA) and back into full accreditation status. Dr. Renner has extensive experience in multiple states responding surveys resulting in CMS Form 2567, Statement of Deficiencies and Plan of Correction. Dr. Renner’s accomplishments also include identifying, coaching and mentoring clinical and non-clinical leaders as well as designing and implementing clinical and non-clinical leadership programs, redesigning and implementing new RN orientation with a resulting decrease in RN turnover, significantly improving HCAHPS scores, and improving patient discharge times. Dr. Renner is a funded Fellow of the National Institute of Nursing Research for her original research, Regular Route and Irregular Route Cross Country Truck Drivers’ Health.
